Nestlings are uninitiated youth (under ~2 y/o). Training starts when an Elder deems them ready, placing them under a mentor’s care. They acquire the same position as the mentor. To camouflage in caves, nestlings have grayish fur, which turns into a permanent bluish color as they mature
