In the final play of the game Saanich gave up a pen which would be put in to send us to pens. In pens both teams would miss their second shots but would both score the rest of their five shots. on the 6th Saanich would score theirs with bays having theirs saved.
Final score 3-3 (5-4) Saanich

The only goal came off an iffy foul in the box to give cowichan a pen which would be the only goal. To be honest I’m suprised there wasn’t more cards as the ref lost control of the match before the first 45 were up.

but it was a stoppage time goal that saw Nanaimo tie the game at 2 and they wouldn’t stop pushing and it led to a late chance with a guy on the the leftside taking a shot with no one to beat but the keeper and just put it wide in which would turn out to be the final play of the game

Tonight I attended a #VISL doubleheader spread out over 2 fields first up was a Div 1 matchup at Goudy turf between Vic west and the highlanders it was a 5-0 thrashing by Vic west which puts them 2 games away from clinching the league.
