This also means that any romantic relationship Zayne enters will inevitably end within 2 decades as his partner ages past him, and things become incredibly difficult for them both to deal with.

While he doesn't age normally, the physical and mental trauma Zayne endured before death makes him appear around his mid-30s, rather than his 20s.
Undead folk don't age in my story, but can experience permanent physical alterations by magical means. (this is rare)
