Topsham, Devon. Cura Design took this from design to completion - 3 Bed house/conservation area built with custom bricks/traditional detailing/ground source heat pump/ solar panels/rainwater harvesting/bee bricks/EPC rating of A. Its carbon negative, it's actually removing 1.6tonnes per year.

Construction week panel discussion on net zero. I think it’s the way buildings are designed that has to change….biodiversity and nature need to be considered first… not last.

Extension to a listed property in Buckinghamshire with beautiful flint wall that echoes the original home and corten roof. Oak frame extends elements of the original house. All glass bay windows with plants and utilizing bee bricks and bird boxes. PV and air source heat pump -powered by nature.

Sverre Fehn 1983 by Morten Krogvolds. I remember he didnt like colour architectural photography..it distracted..He liked Balck and White photos on overcast days so not too dramatic..as I get older..maybe something deeper in the shadows and darkness? ....a great photo in any case.

Infill project in London. Green roofs and green walls improve urban air quality air, reduce the need for heating and cooling, reduce stormwater runoff up to 90% and provide habitats for birds, bees, butterflies, and other insects. They also benefit the inhabitants mind body and spirit!
