Some meshes are broken and crash #MeshLab on some filters. I usually import such mesh in #Blender and export, then open in MeshLab, process it and import back in Blender where i usually push vertices.
Some extra steps i encounter few times a year..

I glue phone on the other side, i have another, bigger and glued to 4m carbon fiber pole for photogrammetry + extra light sources that i scatter around. For power i use power tool battery pack that i hook to with flat wire terminals and cv regulator
