Felo just explicitly averred that the four recently fired adjuncts were fired on the basis of “antisemitism.” We knew this was a political purge and now it has been confirmed.

PSC’s so called-antisemitic BDS resolutions were raised, union named, Felo said the union doesn’t speak for CUNY. On the contrary WE are the union! (and sadly our last BDS resolution did not pass 😒)

Tim Walberg, who has said of Gaza that "it should be like Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Get it over quick," questioned Felo about the Palestinian job postings at Hunter College. Felo affirmed that the search is ongoing but language of settler-colonialism has been removed.

Chancellor says he will not rest until all students are safe AND proud to have called police on students. We guess he’ll get to “all” students by expelling everyone who protests…

Felo’s opening statement fully conflated student encampments (protesting institutions’ complicity with genocide) with antisemitism. And erased the strong presence of Jewish voices and identity as part of anti-genocide actions. Jews who oppose genocide do NOT feel safe on campus!
