Growing up, I was told that the demise of Christianity would be caused by our country rejecting God.

Now I believe it is actually caused by Christians blatantly rejecting the teachings of Jesus for the sake of political power.

Our great republic is crumbling before our very eyes. One only needs to study history - most recently Germany, circa 1933- and connect the dots. It is sad, but I know the Lord is still in charge and there is a reason for all of this.

How did we elect the exact opposite of what we needed?

Jesus laying down his life out of love for the world rather than using all cosmic and political power to force the world to obey him will forever be the greatest critique of any Christian movement that seeks to secure power in order to ensure that others conform to their will.
