It absolutely was. Made me question EVERYTHING I was ever told about Catholicism and all religions, frankly. As a result, I don’t believe any of it anymore. I see the cracks and not the beauty. I see how it manipulates through hope. A part of me died over the years.

I was raised Catholic. I was never affected directly, but turns out both of the cool, hip priests in my Parrish church were pediphiles. We treated them like gods. Our parents never would have believed us.
