I just am: A. Shell shocked 76M people voted for this, and B. Don’t think many people are tuned into the destruction and vote simply on ✨vibes✨. So a government shut down would result in more angry Americans than the crap we’re enduring currently.

Would it? Or would the GOP force the hand of the democrats and flood the media with “Democrats are forcing a shutdown”, “we have a bill on the table that prevents this”.

I suppose that’s true. It’s unfortunate, though, that if they have a spine and stick up for what they believe in, they’ll still be voted out. After all, the GOP’s control over the media is why we are here.

It is nice how we can have respectful convos on this platform. I can still appreciate that.

Honest opinion. Wouldn’t it also be political suicide to have a government shutdown “blamed on Democrats”? Many of us who are involved enough will see through it. But, I don’t think Americans who aren’t paying close attention to the news cycle and rely on government services would see through it.
