So my weird annual Christmas Day tradition is, after presents and breakfast casserole, sitting down with some champagne to watch @sigurros.com “Heima”. I can’t remember when or why I started doing this, but it’s now been an annual thing for years.

3. Why am I such a freak about gloves?Because no matter how clean you think your hands are, they aren’t. The natural oils in your hands will transfer to your silver and cause it to oxidize. If you don’t have polishing gloves, you poor dears, use tea towels/clean dish towels to handle your silver.

2. Use silversmith-cloth bags, or even better, where size appropriate, wrap with silversmith bags and then put in Ziplock (brand only) bags.
I use paper napkins or basket coffee filters to separate stacked pieces to keep from scratching.
