Geek about various things, gaming, books, music, computers. Making neutrons for a living most of my life. Nothing really to see here. Move along.
It may not be quintessential, but there was an graphic posted on the wall where I work for months with the headline, “Giant Machine Creates Science”

What made it really funny, is that it was probably left up so long because management assumed it was about our facility.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with keys labeled “Shift Freedom” before.

My first Scottie, Morgan, got along with male dogs but after her older OES sister died she didn’t tolerate females. She took on my stepdaughter’s Rottweiler twice Inside our fence. Luckily the Rottie just pinned her to the ground until I got hold of her.

A neighbor who’s since moved had a Boston Terrier & Chihuahua. The Boston thought my Scottie Angus was wonderful and the Chihuahua wanted to tear his throat out. Luckily they kept the both on a leash & we just stayed well away from them when the Chihuahua was out.

This one looks like an owl because it has “ears” and is looking straight out of the button.

That’s you assuming. They have to go where they’re assigned. They are legally not required to follow illegal orders. Currently being sent to a US city doesn’t qualify as an, although there’s a case that may change that. You’re hating on the wrong people; focus on those giving the orders

You obviously don’t know how the military works. They can refuse to follow an illegal order, but currently being deployed to a US city doesn’t qualify. So they have to go.

No, they can’t, speaking as a veteran who actually knows how it works. If they leave, they get dragged back and either court martialled or non-judicial punishment if they’re lucky. Then probably military prison.

No, they can’t. The only people in the military that can resign are officers who have served their minimum required time. Everyone else has to serve until the end of their enlistment.
