Started talking to a newer security guard at my place of employment about how I was going to see Roger Waters at Montage Mountain that night. We’ve been friends and seeing shows ever since. That was 25 years ago.

The answer to this is directly proportional to how long or recently you worked in retail or hospitality.

That Budos Band show

Saw that Hiss tour at Treehouse Brewing in Mass about a month ago. Excellent. Great album. MC charming and great as always The accompanist, can’t remember his name, added a lot.

No one can be Bob but Sturgill Simpson is similar in some ways. He isn’t confined by any particular “style” or “genre”, his discomfort with fame. He took a hiatus. Live is very ragged and bar band sounding in the best ways.

Yep. I feel that. The only positive is hearing Romo so depressed.

When I was there, they had year round school which was weird but we got used to it.

I was in North Raleigh. Less urban. Room for kids to play. Good schools. Carey and Alex are nice towns. A little expensive but I’m not sure what you’re looking for in price.

It’s been about 10 years since I left the area. There are tons of nice state parks, a children’s museum place like many cities, not sure what breweries etc are still there. Lived there when my kids were young. It’s a great area to raise a family. Lincoln Theater for adults.
