One week ago today was our last night in our home of 6 years.

We have been settling into our new space as well as we could hope for!

Still way too much on the agenda to consider coming back to content yet but progress is being made 😊

I even finally started to play Tunic properly this week 🦊

26. Outer Wilds: Echos of the Eye [watched]

As with the base game, on paper this should be for me, but I couldn’t have been more glad to be watching instead.

Where most people found hope in the og game and I did not, the DLC really helped me take a few steps closer. Also neat idea and gimmicks.

25. 20 Minutes Till Dawn [for fun]

‘I have 20 mins before I need to go to bed’… lol.

Marking as complete as I survived the 20 mins on 2 maps, played the characters I was interested in, and I have had my fill.

Much more aesthetically pleasing than Vampire survivors, but less to discover as well.

24. Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair [for fun]

After playing 1 I wasn’t eager to jump into 2, did not expect I would enjoy it so much more.

The familiarity of the structure meant jumping straight to the drama. Some plot twists I guessed, some I didn’t. Poor ending but overall exactly what I wanted.

Proud of what I made, maybe even more so now than I was back then.

Also, that Next Fest had some absolute bangers!

23. Sons of the Forest [for fun]

Would never have played this solo but so much fun in co-op.

The journey of how powerless we started to feeling unstoppable was fantastic, as well as the consistent exciting discoveries while exploring, and building our own mansion. Top tier coop experience.

And last but not least, the bar!

Here is the indoor garden, fashion area and library. There is a distinct lack of books in the forest 😅

Next we have our cozy living area, cooking area and walkthrough storage to gear up for expeditions.

We could probably survive for years off the food we have stockpiled 😂

Here we have the rooftop viewing garden and the bedroom

Ok here is the almost finished update!
September 30, 2025 at 9:12 PM
I stopped documenting the build as we were mixing in some exploration, but after tonight I feel like we might be about finished! It’s changed a lot since those last pics 😄

Going to take some screenshots next time and take a video as well

The world isn’t ours. It is finite.

If we are genuinely as smart as we believe we are then we should understand how heavily misplaced our concept of value is.

We aren’t the only beings on the planet yet they all feel our impact.

Please consider your consumption, stay curious and give this a read.

Essential reading imo.

The tragedy of it is that the people who are the ones that need to hear it aren’t the ones who are going to pick up a book like this.

Anyway, came for the awe-inspiring animal facts, became increasingly heartbroken, and left wanting to pass on the message.

My top played games on Steam by playtime!

Isaac is in the lead by almost 300 hours and I haven’t even started Repentance yet 😅

I also don’t ever trust playtime as I press play then wander away from my games regularly, but this feels accurate enough!

22. Under the Waves [for fun]

I’m so mixed. I thought the underwater collectathon would be so up my alley, but the minor annoyances of underwater travel mixed with the heavy atmosphere had me rushing more than I would have liked.

Some of the grief themes felt overbearing, but some were perfect.

21. Bound [for fun]

Got so close to dropping this but powered through.

While initial impressions were great, the awe of the stunning animations wore off quickly as I found myself not understanding the core of what I was doing.

Enjoyed the metaphors but the package didn’t come together for me.

Session 5 cont - It has some furniture but we now have that to finish off, as well as organising storage space and the extended outside area.
August 23, 2025 at 1:15 AM
Session 5 - The house is built! Wowza. Roofing was awful, had to change plans a bit but pretty happy with what we have built!
August 23, 2025 at 1:12 AM
Session 4 - We were making good progress on the roofing as shown in the Host Not Responding shots. Unfortunately, that means the game crashed and we lost the roofs 🥲

Next pic is a little more progress post crash 1 and before crash 2.

The bedroom interior is finished. Keep forgetting to take pics.
August 21, 2025 at 10:20 PM
Session 3 - Downstairs now has flooring. We have a cozy fire area in progress. Upstairs front now has a roof and attic. We have little garages. Bedroom staircase moved to accommodate wall.

We have now turned off destructible structures after a slight house explosion incident.

Dropped: Breathedge

When I am considering what I want to play next, this one has a lot of play time but when I read reviews, some of the biggest complains are about tedium and repetition.

I am getting my survival fix elsewhere so I’m happy enough to drop this one off the backlog.

20. The Cat Lady [for fun]

A really unique point and click adventure that I really enjoyed despite being depressing as all hell.

It managed to be scary and unsettling enough without having any real danger. I never got stuck on the puzzles, and enjoyed the style, environments and characters.

Building a mansion in Sons of the Forest. It feels ambitious yet achievable. Here is the project so far 😄

We finally found a location earlier in the week and laid some foundations.
Then in session 2 it has started to look like a building!

Might keep an update thread 👷🏻‍♀️

19. Forgotten Hill Disillusion [for fun]

Was hoping for a Rusty Lake like and it definitely had some of what I was looking for.

It got too difficult, I had to resort to a guide, but I really liked the core concept and ideas.

It’s hard to recommend and I’m glad it’s over, but I still enjoyed it?
