It’s with great sadness that we share the news of the unexpected passing of C-TRAN Board Chair, Molly Coston. Molly, a dedicated public servant, was an invaluable member of the C-TRAN board over the past eight years.

Effective today, November 17, C-TRAN has expanded its Honored fare program to include income as part of the eligibility criteria. Previously, low-income passengers could purchase a $31 Reduced monthly pass with proof of eligibility.

The C-TRAN Maintenance team’s latest project is coming to a screen near you! Recently, Matt Wiley, Assistant Manager of Transit Vehicle Electronics, spearheaded an initiative to repurpose infrequently used digital displays that some newer buses come equipped with.

Tomorrow, November 4, is Election Day. If you haven’t already turned in your ballot, you can drop it at one of 22 drop box locations in Clark County by 8 p.m. on November 4. You can also mail your ballot via USPS, or drop it off in person at the Elections Office at 1408 Franklin Street.

#tbt to our haunted bus serving up scares and smiles last Halloween. If you’re looking for a family-friendly Halloween event to attend, we’ll be at the Battle Ground Boo Bash tomorrow from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a spooktacularly decked-out bus and treats—no tricks.

Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday, November 2, and the days are getting shorter and darker. Stay safe and plan ahead for your ride by wearing reflective clothing. Using a flashlight to point at the ground as your bus approaches is another great way to make yourself more visible to drivers.

Something spooky is coming! We’ll be at the Battle Ground Boo Bash at the Battle Ground Event Center on Friday, October 31, from 3-6 p.m. Stop by to check out our haunted bus and grab a treat—if you dare! This free, family-friendly event is accessible by Route 7 and The Current in Battle Ground.

Battle Ground: The Current has arrived! Last month, C-TRAN’s on-demand rideshare service added a new service zone, mirroring Battle Ground city limits and operating alongside Route 7 to improve system access. Rides are available seven days a week, and can be scheduled online or by phone.

ICYMI: Earlier this year, C-TRAN launched a partnership with Aira to offer free visual interpretation services for our blind and low-vision passengers. Aira provides on-demand, remote visual interpreting, and can be used for free by passengers calling for navigation on any C-TRAN routes or services.

Heads up: Multiple routes will be on detour in downtown Vancouver on Sunday, October 12, during the Girlfriends Run. Routes 25, 30, 31/32, 60, 71, The Vine on Fourth Plain, and The Vine on Mill Plain will be on detour. Route 6 may experience delays.
