Speaking of healthcare. Let's make @bsky.app the platform that fights misinformation. Some great follows are @drsusanoliver.bsky.social @jsm2334.bsky.social @therealtruther.bsky.social

Let's get them more followers and engagement than other platforms and let health science accounts find a home

Today I remember visiting the MLK memorial in DC at night, in the rain. This quote of his underneath a cherry tree is bathed in raindrops and cherry blossoms.

Someone tell that sanctimonious pixie Speaker Mike Johnson that if he places conditions on California's ability to rebuild, his state, Louisiana, the Welfare Queen of Federalism, won't be able to fix any of its roads because that money comes from the far more successful economy of California.

Next week we take a hard right (what transition?!?) from a presidency of the bully pulpit to the bully puppet.

My Dutch friends sent an “oompaloompa survival kit” that included this f*you leprechaun. They said just wink at it everytime I want to send dingus con my sentiments. He’s not even sworn in and I already feel like I have Bell’s palsy.

Most banned book of the 23-24 school year.
What’s wrong with this picture?

According to PEN America's most recent report, “Nineteen Minutes” by @jodipicoult.bsky.social—a book about a school shooting—is now the most banned book in American schools.

Meanwhile, active shooter drills have expanded to schools in 40 states.

My best friend was children’s librarian at our county library in rural West Texas. When she passed, one of my former students recounted how she was his first memory outside his immediate family. “How profound is it that my first memory of the outside world is pure joy and wonder?” #librariesmatter
