I've never bought but if it's anything like the rental market in london, I bet you have to offer like 3x the listed price to actually have a chance of getting accepted. I struggled to even rent a room because each 'affordable' place I saw I was competing with like 10 other people with higher incomes

Honestly I know an out of work artist who got paid a grand for an nft of her work and dumb and environment destroying as they were that seems borderline utopian compared to the impact AI has had on those same artists.

I haven't seen the videos, but I would have thought that a practicing interior designer would have a unique perspective on how easy an item is to implement/how well it interacts with the a wider context of a room design.
if it's literally just 'this chair is ugly' then fair enough that's silly.

True, but if I had written a critique and wanted someone to proofread the writing itself (rather than the personal opinions it contained), I'd consider you better placed to do that than someone who'd never written a critique.

I guess my question is, are they saying 'as an interior design major' or 'as an interior designer' because those are quite different implications

Like, my field is vfx, and generally when learning I usually got a lot more value from critiques by practicing vfx artists rather than hobbyists/youtubers etc

As a layperson about interior design, if I was looking for notes on my attempts - I'd probably go to someone who practices interior design over another person who sounds like they know what they're talking about. Easiest way for a layman to tell actual intelligent opinions from articulate blagging.

I believe google uses 100% renewable energy anyway? Or more accurately they put as much renewable energy into the grid as dirty energy they consume. Water usage is still an issue but it's still probably the 'cleanest' way to use it.

Cynically, they don't even need to do good, just not actively bad. plenty of rich people just spend the money on their own niche hobbies like stargazing or classic car restoration or whatever and generally get left out of public discourse entirely. I'd say if being rich had a 'meta' that would be it
