I’m finding that the expensive notebooks like Moleskin and Leuchtturm are thinning their paper and that I can get 85g paper in generic store brand notebooks (at least in Europe) so I’m starting to use them.

The fountain pen discussion was right after we discussed his pre-1969 Omega Speedmaster which doesn’t say “watch worn on the moon” on the caseback because humans hadn’t been to the moon yet. You would never guess we are Mechanical Engineers.

Also Venezuela's oil is not that great. There is a lot of it but it’s heavy sour and the wells take a lot of maintenance. There’s a reason it’s some of the cheapest oil on the market.

what makes you think his punishment is inevitable? The USA will never allow international law to be enforced upon Americans and the Democrats have proven time and again that they will not hold anyone accountable because they think it might cost them votes or something.

I’ve really loved the Slow Horses books. They really get into the psyche of the characters.

I’ve only read on Simon Brett book (The Poisoning in the Pub). An okay read. Fits the cozy mystery category and a good way to pass time.

I didn’t know pulling a back muscle was contagious but I rolled over in bed this morning and pulled something. It is not a pleasant experience.
