Digital marketer and civil celebrant. Some things I like in no particular order include rewilding, Green politics, marketing, rites of passage rituals, walking, dogs, walking dogs, economics, MMT, cooking
Ah, misread and thought you could buy a British general election.

Whatever one’s own opinion of the quality of production or the ethics of AI, It did not receive “massive backlash”. Some ad industry insiders might have railed against it, but is was very effective and they have made it better this year.

The Traitors US is nowhere near as good as the UK as it’s mostly D list reality stars playing to the screen who already know, or know of, the others. Whereas the UK show is unknown members of the public who slowly reveal their personalities. I don’t expect much of The Celebrity Traitors tbh

Agree with your fear of right wing media influence on Farage. But Sky News is ultimately owned by Comcast, not the most rabid of media organisations

You’re right that this is sensationalist clickbait. But the whole NI fund is in any case an accounting chimera. And our children will not be loaded with debt. That’s wading into economics, which accountants are generally terrible at. @richardjmurphy.bsky.social explains better.

Waiting in the chippy for my order and a woman told her small child to move from a chair for me. I graciously declined then did a few star jumps just to make a point. I’ve barely got my head around the term middle aged, never mind anything older.

Not a lot of schizophrenics diagnosed in the 1700s but weirdly a lot of witches. Now where did they all go?

But em dashes so probably written by AI

Also, and this is why the US Traitors is so awful.

That would be nice, but maybe just wishful thinking. Anecdotally plenty of very big companies make huge profits but most of their employees are not happy. And also lots of businesses that have a happy workforce but don’t make much profit. I would love to see data on this.
