My position is that the mark of a successful economy is a robust class of creative people with enough free time and personal capital to generate a true generation of innovation. Inventing stuff shouldn’t be the sole purview of venture capitalists.

Yes indeed, we’ve backed ourselves into virtual indentured servitude, starting our careers at the bottoms rungs of the economy with massive debt, which makes exactly no sense. Then, we feel obligated to trade our best years for a bare subsistence in service of someone else’s fortune. It’s inhumane.

I used to think that term limits were a good idea, but what we actually need is dedicated public servants with deep institutional knowledge and shelter from corruption. We need to prevent corporate cash from buying our representation out from under us.

It’s true, lack of scandalous background is a weakness in Trumpland. He’s only interested if there’s something he can hold over you for leverage and control.
