I've noticed a lot of movies on streaming lately missing sections, sometimes minutes of subtitles. If I were hard of hearing, I'd be so pissed! They should really implement an easy way to report it while watching.

The reason the anti-"woke" crowd is so confusing to me is that it's hard to imagine being so self centered that I wouldn't be interested in seeing the experiences of other types of people in my media and games.

Today, I came across a tech staffing firm called "Horizontal Talent" and I'm trying to figure out if there's a polite way to tell a business their name makes them sound like a porn talent agency.

I wrote a story once that revolved around "feelies", which cyberpunk named the much better "brain dances", but in an fairness, if you take one step back from the word "movies" is it really all that much worse a word? We might as well still call them the "talkies"

We can't all agree on a favorite number, but I think we can all agree about the orientation of certain relationships, e.g. I can prove that 11 is definitely cooler than 6: If you say "take it to 11" everyone nods and thinks you're cool, but if you say "take it to 6" you sound like an absolute dweeb.

I deeply love the Horizon games, but whoever made the decision to put apex machine hearts -- a high level upgrade material -- in the same Sell category as items that have no value except to be sold, what were you thinking? How has this not been solved by a patch by now!?

I'm in an annoying situation with Shadow of the Erdtree: I made it to the final boss at only Scadu level 15, and he's nigh impossible. I want to finish the DLC, but I don't want to hunt through a guide/list of fragment locations since I've gotten so many of them already without keeping track. 🫤
