If Starbucks baristas have to strike, we're striking too — with our wallets.

DON'T SHOP AT STARBUCKS if baristas are on strike. No contract, no coffee. Period. #NoContractNoCoffee

On #VeteransDay, it's important to take a moment to reflect on the service and sacrifices made by all of our veterans. And we are proud to announce a new initiative to honor them in Connecticut.

No Contract? No Coffee!

Baristas at the Corbin's Corner Starbucks and their community allies held a practice picket to demand management finally settle a fair contract!

While baristas are struggling to make ends meet, the CEO of Starbucks made $96 million last year.

BREAKING: UAW members at Cummins in Bloomfield are on STRIKE!

Instead of negotiating a fair contract, management has interfered with the federal labor rights of its employees by committing multiple unfair labor practice violations during the course of negotiations.

Our message to the Trump administration is clear:

Fund the government. Fix the health care crisis. And put working people first.

Pay them what you owe them!

The Connecticut labor movement was proud to stand with members of the WNBPA at the Connecticut Sun game as they fight for a fair contract.

Respect the players by paying them their fair share.

(And the Connecticut Sun won 87-84!)

PICKET: Food service workers at CCSU, SCSU, and WCSU are picketing for a living wage and fair contract!

Many workers are forced to get second and third jobs just to get by, despite working full-time.

One job should be enough!

The AFL-CIO's national bus tour will be making a stop in Connecticut!

We are hosting a "Back to School" roundtable discussion focused on the devastating federal cuts—and the lack of sufficient state funding—in our K-12 and public higher education systems.

This week, two Democratic governors chose starkly different paths on workers' rights. One chose to stand with workers; the other turned his back.

It’s a "Which side are you on?" moment in which every Democrat should unambiguously fight for workers every time they have the chance.

The day after Lamont vetoed #UIforStrikingWorkers in CT, the Governor of Oregon signed a similar bill into law! And the Governor of Washington State signed their version into law last month.

Protecting working people has only become more urgent since the Trump Administration has gutted the NLRB.

Gov. Lamont has vetoed #UIforStrikingWorkers and once again sided with corporate CEOs over the hardworking people of Connecticut.
June 23, 2025 at 6:32 PM
All out to #LevelThePlayingField! Tonight #union members & justice advocates took to the streets outside Gov. Lamont’s mansion in Hartford to ask him a simple question; “Whose side are you on - working people or corporate CEOs?” #UIforStrikingWorkers @aflcio.org

Proud to stand with SEIU members in Connecticut and across the country in demanding the immediate release of David Huerta!

We have the right to peaceful protest and we will defend our First Amendment rights! #solidarity

Join the picket at Gov. Lamont's mansion to demand that he side with working people, not corporate CEOs!

Happy Pride Month from Connecticut's unions! The labor movement will always fight for strong contracts that protect LGBTQ+ workers and make sure everyone can bring their whole selves to work 🏳️‍🌈

The State House just passed UI for Striking Workers! The passage of this bill in both chambers with a bipartisan vote marks a critical victory for working people in our state.

Now it's on Gov. Lamont to do the right thing. He can either stand with corporate CEOs or stand with working people.
