Looking back I’m surprised how much I got right! the theory I came up with was based on the fact Al’s a radio host/wordsmith at heart, and a crafty little shit through and through- I didn’t expect the Lucifer can’t harm sinners twist, but I knew the phrasing of the deals was the key :)

Which was most of S2. Love the VAs (and songs), just have diff faves/relationships I’d like to get more development. Al was a bright spot, and what little Luci we got, but the fandom inspo from S2 is 100% the best part- which is hard when people don’t get that it’s ok to have diff opinions on stuff

Fr fr, some things felt a bit out of place timing wise with the season? I enjoyed getting more Hazbin, but that doesn’t mean it’s a perfect piece of media (nothing is). Personally I don’t care that much about Vox, so I was tired at how much of this season was him, then frustrated w Charlie

I can totally see them printing out a bunch of these as Sinsmas cards with the most unhinged handwritten messages on them 😭 Al would totally send one to Vox specifically like “Season’s greetings, old pal! Do try not to be such a miserable failure next year” lmao

All I can envision now is the Abbott Elementary Jacob at karaoke scene but w Lucifer singing this 😭

Haha, thanks! I think Al is motivated by boredom/pettiness a lot of the time, but something about the scene of “maybe I can handle my own problems,” standing directly in front of a statue of the Morningstars in Cannibaltown of all places, then seeking a fight while injured…suspicious 👀

Basically… I think Al is playing 4d chess to orchestrate a conflict between Vox and the Morningstars resulting in: Vox’s deal breaking, Al getting more power (maybe healing his wound), Vox’s downfall, and Al’s freedom. Exact details are fuzzy but everything is in place for Al’s gain. (10/10)

I suspect Al’s soul deal is somehow tied to Charlie or her goals. Potential uses of the deal with Charlie could be:
- direct Lucifer to break his soul deal
- direct Lucifer to not retaliate against Al placing Charlie in harms way
- saying a phrase or doing an action that ends Rosie’s task (9/?)

Al’s own power would be increased at the same moment that his deal with Vox is voided. Al has now amassed power, broken his deal with Vox, but remains subject to his soul deal.

….he also still has his deals with Charlie and Vaggie though 👀 he can now condition his help on a nonviolent favor. (8/?)

The moment Vox becomes “the most powerful sinner” is extremely likely to be when he lays hands on Charlie (who is half sinner), a moment that places him in direct conflict with Lucifer as a result of Al’s positioning. If Charlie and Lucifer are fighting Vox, Vaggie can’t ask Al to help (7/?)

Charlie is not going to let Al remain in Vox’s custody- or advance his plan of taking over Heaven. Vox and Charlie are now in direct and immediate opposition to one another.

If Vox becomes the “most powerful sinner” Al’s power has to increase for his soul deal remain intact (6/?)

…who can ask Al to help in a fight with Vox. Which he STILL can’t do per his deal with Vox, UNLESS Charlie directly has hands laid on her by Vox, which Vox will likely avoid at all costs.

Vox’s options to oppose Charlie now are indirect, but WAY more likely to piss off Lucifer. (5/?)

Per Al’s deal with Vaggie, she can’t ask him to engage with any “frivolous television technology ever again.” Any clause Rosie has created where Al needs to obey hotel staff direction for its security or Charlie’s is void from Vaggie, as it pertains to Vox. Charlie is the only one now… (4/?)

Per Al’s deal with Vox, Vox can’t “lay his hands on Charlie Morningstar.” Vox cannot directly approach her now, and if they get into a fight, he can’t act directly against her. He MUST use an outside person or force (weapon) against her. Al has WAY upped the level of force Vox needs to use (3/?)

Under the wording of the deal, he MUST receive power making him the strongest sinner in hell. By surrendering himself to Vox, Al hasn’t made himself less powerful- BUT he’s taken himself out of the way as an opposition to Vox’s power grab, clearing a path for Vox to increase his status (2/?)
