Conor - It’s due to a lot pro owners being cash poor. The cash rich owners can offer better free agent contracts. Big competitive advantage.

Great point, but these are just part of the infrastructure issues we have had for 25 years now. Never any funding for it. So there wasn’t much Pete could do.

That’s what bitcoin feels like too, huh.

Did MBS appear offended by this? It seems like a really bad look for a “deal maker”

Just when Trump had the “young male” vote, he’s going to lose them over this. Ha!

The Fed has zero reason to move. Currently, the only policy mistakes are those by the government.

They got more rolls of the dice, so random luck improves.

I am pissed too, but this was well played in my eyes. They got a lot assets to help (re)build the team and I believe Mason Graham is a great fit for the defense. That dude was a man among boys vs. OSU. I think that says a lot to his talent. But I know it's all talk until we see something.

Has Bessent taken over as President? This is a serious question given the actual president is senile and Bessent probably has the strongest hand inside the Whitehouse.

Crazy is the nicest thing you can say. At best, the GOP has become a cult worship organization that is drinking the tariff KoolAid (that will kill them). At worst, this is the definition of a Fascist government and things are only getting worse from here.

I saw this yesterday and thought it was interesting that Elon would flag tariffs on the same day that we get the statement on "pullback" from tariffs. I have always felt that Elon won't get "fired" quietly, but so far his blowback has been tame. We'll see.

I am going to sit back and watch before worrying. This front office should have been fired, but they weren't because the owner mettles too much in their decisions. Maybe these guys finally have some freedom to make the right decisions. Let's see what they do and what it looks like when it matters.
April 22, 2025 at 3:01 PM
I wouldn't get too emotional about trading down if they do. It's been pretty well understood that there are a lot of good but not great players in this draft, so getting assets and a player is good. The team has a lot of needs to fill.

From my chair, I think quite a bit as that's what happened Thursday through Monday.
April 22, 2025 at 12:15 PM
MAGA are fascists. Hopefully you're anti fascist
April 18, 2025 at 1:01 PM
Yes, I think you have that right. Also interesting to see if we get a covid economy where shelves are more likely to be empty once stock is sold off and companies don't buy more. However, the biggest impact by far will be the fate of future capital investment.
April 16, 2025 at 1:31 PM
I read this as a soft pulling of guidance and smart by the CEO. If he actually pulls guidance, because that's what he's probably doing internally, then his stock will be down >5%. Instead, not pulling guidance but saying it's too fluid keeps it sounding positive. Logic tells us otherwise.
April 15, 2025 at 7:25 PM
I think we're in that vacuum space when there are no negative headlines nor preannouncements, so traders are buying. The fundamental holders won't rebalance portfolios for a few weeks. Also, FX is digesting the rapid rebalancing as well taking away marginal sales of mega caps. Watch the Yen
April 15, 2025 at 3:25 PM
What tax policy do they want? Maybe make it harder for a company like them to save taxes by "relocating" overseas. Force the CEOs to actually live in Ireland if they want to get taxed there.
April 15, 2025 at 3:17 PM
So puddle pants are too long and floods are really short. What is just right? Flowing river?
April 14, 2025 at 6:55 PM
Other survey have higher expectations too, and, as we know, that's what concerns the Fed most.
April 14, 2025 at 3:16 PM
You mean Chuckles? Yeah, that guy.
April 12, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Compare and contrast decisions made by this administration and the Browns ownership decisions. I get confused.
April 10, 2025 at 4:41 PM
Now that's creative! Well played.
April 9, 2025 at 4:00 PM
You got that right, Joe. The most hilarious thing is the investors that understand him the best, the Chinese, are antagonizing him into doing dumber and dumber things. We'll have 200% tariffs on China by the end of this, and congress will have taken over. It won't be Trump that snaps.
