~30 US states were already reaching the point where the passenger ICE fleets were in decline by middle of 2025...and that's the US. Not only users obviously but big start. Trump is but a speed bump; an ugly, ragged speed bump but something that will be passed by nonetheless.

There are places where a new installation of grid scale solar with batteries is cheaper to build an operate than it is to just operate an existing gas or coal plant now. The sheer growth and scale of Chinese production is almost unfathomable. Peak oil consumption in 2030? Nah, 2028 at the latest.

Some other "emergency" or court case that precludes their release would be my guess.

he'll be declaring some BS so the Epstein files don't come out on Friday.

It kind of shines on a light on the "YOU MUST REFUSE ILLEGAL ORDERS" and if an Admiral has to burn to make sure that gets through the heads of the rest of the military so be it.
December 2, 2025 at 4:11 AM
While the entire chain of command that issued the orders should go down for it, right up to the President if shown true, if an Admiral actually gave those illegal orders, regardless of how high they came from, he should also face the consequences. He's a flag officer, he has to know better.

I don't care about murder because "murder".
December 1, 2025 at 11:52 PM
It's fairly blatant. Would be odd in a truly independent system.

The next administration should ship him to the Hague.

No one seems to be asking what BC is getting. I suspect it might be more than Alberta.
December 1, 2025 at 9:53 PM
Yah. It is a little odd that they had this ready Monday morning but not Friday evening.

Carney gives Smith a win and gets himself a win in the face of the still-strong Anti Trump sentiment but it does nothing; everywhere but North America will have declining oil use within 5 years. I just hope tax dollars don't go into building one.
November 26, 2025 at 12:51 AM
This is almost meaningless. No company will pay to build one because the long term economics are a longshot even if all of those regs are removed. So far there isn't even a proposal to build one. Carney knows it and that's why he's approving. You need customers for 30 years+ and they don't exist.

"caught in traffic" type abstentions.....

186,000 huh. I wonder if she sub-consciously pulled the speed of light in miles per second out of her butt.

I'm pretty sure that if an election is called a large chunk of people will vote for whoever didn't force another effin' election just 7 months after the last one when the issues we are facing are exactly the same.
November 17, 2025 at 6:34 PM
Because the top few companies keep propping each other up in the biggest grift we've ever seen. I'm not even Bearish on AI but even if it's a great success in the end they can't all win and so far none of them have any real revenue.

I forgot they existed but that's where I registered my first domains.

It's still a single issue environment; Trump is the only issue. Ford at least appears to be fighting.
November 4, 2025 at 6:35 PM
Going forward, if there isn't something legitimate to vote on within 3 months of the end of an agreement it should be an immediate strike.
October 30, 2025 at 3:38 AM
The unions letting these "negotiations" drag on for months and months is a complete failure of organized labour. AUPE Government Services should have been on strike a year before they finally voted. Instead they let the employer split the union and drag them into submission. Glad they cleaned house.
October 30, 2025 at 3:37 AM
okay, AUPE's Government Services group should have joined them.
September 10, 2025 at 7:10 PM
Good. AUPE should have joined them.

In all honesty, they may want to be prepared to run against Vance instead of Trump.
