I've been slowly working my way through this the last year or so. It's a history of the GOP in the wilderness during the Obama years, which gave rise to the Tea Party and MAGA. So much of what is happening in the Democratic Party right now reminds me of that era. Worth a read.

We have three branches of government with checks and balances so that one single individual with bad ideas can't impose them on the entire country. A republican form of democracy is slow and frustrating on purpose.

The audiobook offering included in Spotify Premium is incredible. Almost any book I can think of (which is many!) is included in the monthly subscription. I am a longtime Audible user, so I can't switch, but I have bifurcated my listening now.
