The upcoming #ROGXboxAlly , in its base form, is not only worse specced than the already existing baseline ROG Ally from 2023, if the leaks are right then it's even more expensive. No sense in purchasing it and wasting $240.

The neography used in Metaphor ReFantazio doesn't seem to be designed for either the language it's supposed to represent in-universe, Esperanto, nor for handwriting. Here's my attempt at achieving both.

The picture includes, in order: the MRF neography in my handwritten form, mapped to the standard Esperanto alphabet; the properly Esperantized title "Metaforo Ri-Fantazio"; and common ligatures that an Esperanto-based script would naturally use.

I'm worried about the specs for the base #ROG #XboxAlly, powered by the upcoming Ryzen Z2 A, being mostly worse than even the base #ROGAlly, powered by the Ryzen Z1. Unless it's significantly cheaper and less power hungry, it makes no sense to release it.

Looks like the way #Bluesky prevents quote-reposts is by checking whether a post's link is a post itself and whether the post has a quote-block flag. #Mastodon could implement that - but it would rely on a honor system for each instance to respect the flag.
Picture of me trying to manually post a URL to a quote-blocked post. Bluesky warns me that "the author of this post has disabled quotes".

Well, I found it: the first known instance of a developer blocking sales of an app to my country specifically because of its VAT policy (or at least a misunderstanding thereof). #CostaRica #VAT
Me: "Hello! Is there some particular reason why your games in the Play Store appear as unavailable in my country?" Developer: "The games are not available in some regions via particular stores because of tax responsibility. In short, if a particular store do not collect taxes in some regions (so we would need to do it) we can't sell our games there becase it's beyond our possibilities to register for tax in foreign countries." Me: "Ah OK... as for my country (Costa Rica), tax responsibility is passed by default to the client's credit card down the line, so I'm not sure why is it blocked there." Developer: "Yeah. And that's exactly the tax we need to issue to your country's tax authority (because Google currently don't doing so). We don't have a capacity to register for tax in your country, nor we have a capacity to learn the laws applicable in your country. So we rather do not sell the games in your country in order to not break the law."
