👍 initially he'll need to adapt to the players at his disposal - hopefully he has secured as part of negotiating strategy backing for what he needs - and can start on that immediately. A back three would require depth at centre-back and we need a replacement there in any case. Lot of work needed 🍀

Albeit unless you're doing something with the ball possession based stats are meaningless - if he brings brave and entertaining football with a winning mentality and tactical flexibility as suggested then that'll be welcomed 🍀

It would be amazing. And if he's here I'll believe he can do it. However it'll be a huge challenge (for anyone) mid-season in a new environment and with a depleted team to do so. That and the need to win from his first game is what has me anxious, as it would with any option, other than MON 🍀

It really does throw a light on how the board operates. They clearly aren't bothered about 'complying' - I take it they also don't bother with the 'explaining' bit either - at the AGM or elsewhere

💯 the Board were not prepared for the departure of BR and mid-season transitions are never easy even when expected so it's natural to feel anxious. However if he is in the dugout next weekend I think he'll find that winning is non negotiable!

I agree. From what I've read I think his own staff could be a key factor so backroom staff could be up for negotiation - his assistant Kwame Ampadu (Irish connection too!) could be his first priority to come with him although all just speculation for now

Can't remember where but I think I read that he is someone who tends to insist on his own 'team' around him - if that was the case then something this Board would need to consider. But could be misremembering 😆

Wonder if MON has put himself out of the running. Hopefully he has considered that the pressures and expectations here are different to MLS and his tactical style might need to change quickly - managing Celtic is on a different level than what he has done so far and winning from day 1 is expected

I go with that too. The Board were not prepared for the departure of BR and I wouldn't trust them with a hurried mid-season transition. Irrespective of their failings waiting should provide a wider choice of candidates and advantage of a full pre-season. MON has brought and will maintain stability 🍀

💯 Board showed their hand to deplete squad and regress any ambitions in selling Kyogo before Bayern. Players will have got that message as much as the fans did. And has got worse since. Needs a total and complete removal and overhaul of the lot of them. The players and manager are up against it 🍀

Yeah it was always going to be a tough test. Frustrating though to see our defence collapse, midfield outplayed and no attacking threat to speak of. Ruthlessly taken apart at times. And yes seeing Osmand lying completely distraught I was really gutted for him. Hopefully bounce back on Sunday!🤞🍀
