It's been a couple of months. Trying to drag myself into spring and do something constructive. My goal is actual letters and phone calls in the weeks to come. Considering where I live, I *might* be spitting into the wind on getting any of my representatives' heads out of their asses. 🫤

Serendipitous matching fabric patterns along a seam (twice!) and practicing some free motion quilting after about a year of doing nothing on the longarm. Both were particularly satisfying this past week. #tinyjoys #quiltsky

First I've heard of making a lemon pig for luck, but I'm giving it a go. I unfortunately squashed one of his clove eyes. His tail is a bent sewing pin. Used the oldest penny from my purse (1951). He leaks a bit, but looks optimistic and smells nice.

My #tinyjoys for the past week. My favorite coffee mug. Perfect weight and size. Showing it's age since I can't find another. Tried a new recipe, cranberry cake, and it was yummy! (I don't feel much like cooking lately, so that was a win).

Making me happy this week, the red Holiday cactus is blooming, and I got to snuggle a random garage cat. He was a purrfect chonk!

Making me happy this week: Progress on the scrappy strippy borders, and stopping to admire the moon and Venus. I might have this quilt top finished by the end of the month!

Making progress on getting the Hope quilt blocks together! (Pattern from GE Designs). Slowly but surely! Love the colors, and think it would be good in a more monochrome palette.

Happiness this week, more roses and a blooming Thanksgiving cactus. Plus Freddy has a new toy, so she's ecstatic! I'm just glad it quit squeaking after 5 minutes.

Playing in the pile of unfinished projects. I don't put pressure on myself to finish quilts. This is fun, not a stressor.

Things making me happy this week. Last roses before the first freeze, new kitty niece that is fearless around her dog siblings.

Real person, just not a prolific poster. My sister calls me the fun sponge, my boss tells people I'm actually funny, and the dogs are happy to see me even when I don't have food.
