As Trump goes to war with Iran, this is your timely reminder that Hitler told leading doctor Gerhard Wagner in 1935 “when there’s war, there will be euthanasia”. Hitler always intended for war to be a cover for crimes against his own citizens.

People don’t want to believe that we are there or that we’re even on our way, but that’s the thing about eugenics. And it’s the hard truth we have to admit. It is here and always has been, swirling around us and disguised as “budget cuts” and devaluation of human life

Thank you, Ilka!
I’m so glad @csmdop.bsky.social has brought this issue to film. “Seeing” the story will have such an impact on awareness of the fate of the precious souls who perished in Hitler’s secret euthanasia program against persons with disabilities. Like my own great aunt, Ruth Rosa Luise Mühlmann. #remember

Can't believe I am saying this but rest in peace to possibly one of the greatest directors I have ever had the pleasure to watch, David Lynch. You made deviant bodies and minds more visible and fought cliche framings of Hollywood perception until the very end.
