Good morning Blue friends. It’s very cold in the Midlands today but also rather pretty. Enjoy these pics from my garden. 🌱

We inherited a small Camellia when we bought our house. I had to prune it last year and she went into a massive sulk in response - didn’t produce a single flower all year.
Apparently, she’s not sulking now! 🌱

I only managed a handful of fritilaries - first time I’ve tried growing them.

Plant one where you can se it from the window - it‘s a lovely thing to see it in winter, almost the only flash of colour in the garden.
Here‘s mine:

1st time growing rhubarb. Leaves all hot famaged in the storm so I cut back, mulched and fertilised all ready for the winter… And now the rhubarb is growing back! (I‘ve told it it‘s too early but it doesn‘t seem to be listening.)

Have I done everything too early? 🌱

Morning all. In a previous house, there was an Old Fashioned Weigla in the garden, which my cat used to sit under for hours.
When we moved, there was nowhere nice for the cat to sit in the garden… so I bought him this Ruby Weigla… Not that he‘s sat anywhere near it yet.
But she‘s lovely. 🌱

Well, if anything will help me find the Stage Managers and other Theatre folk, it‘s probably this!

Happy International Stage Management Day

Morning folks! I‘m on a train so here‘s a few snaps of the pink Dianthus in my garden. All different shades. Not sure what all their names are. Just small, pretty and flowering all summer long. 🌱😎

Petunia Night Sky. We have some of these every year. Just love the way the purple and white speckles change throughout the season. And that deep purple colour 💕 🌱

This bit of the park is quite pretty, despite being next to the venue car park. 🌱

It’s a two show day today. The first is dine and there’s a long break before the second.
I’m sitting in the park behind the theatre, with my book and a cold drink.

The Hibiscus was an impulse buy - I was in B&Q and they were just there and I had to buy one! It’s such a pretty little thing.
It’s very small and fragile at the moment, so I’ve moved it to the greenhouse before the cold sets in. Hopefully it will be ok. 🌱

The Cornflowers did much better than expected. I went shopping in Morrisons in the Spring and the cashier offered everyone free seeds. Obviously, I said yes!
They’ve been lovely.

I’m on a train on my way home from work. It’s been a long day and London feels distinctly Octoberish.
To brighten up the journey, here is Blue Hibiscus on the left and some Cornflowers on the right. (Taken in my garden about a month ago - Hibiscus is currently residing in my greenhouse for winter.)
