Evolution and growth are the key qualities that lead us from the aspects of life that are dry and crackly to the space of softness and suppleness. Through the life cycle, everything has its moment. Various stages of life blossom from infancy to maturity, that engages the continuum of life.

Like applying lotion to our skin when it gets dry, our lives also need moisture and attention to keep them healthy and vibrant. By welcoming evolution and growth, we nurture ourselves to be the very best we can be. This is one of the ways we make a positive contribution to life.

Be open and willing to lean into the newness, allowing release and surrender to happen. Instead of going “kicking and screaming,” we come to it “open and willing.” As we consciously offer up the old and dying skin that no longer serves our highest good, we burgeon into newness.

Being open and willing is required in the surrender process. When we hold on to resistance, and are operating from our comfort zone, we likely aren’t cooperating with the divine process unfolding. Being open and willing requires trust and faith, knowing our good is being factored into the equation.

All life possesses a soul, and each soul is an integral expression of Spirit. As such, it becomes challenging to categorize anything as unnecessary, unlikeable, or monstrous. Instead, the invitation is to perceive the world through the eyes of God, acknowledging the inherent sacredness of all life.

This month, we are exploring the concept of things we typically find unlikeable—such as creepy crawlies, annoying people, and challenging situations we prefer to avoid. Our goal is to reframe these perceptions, transforming the unlikeable into the loveable.
