I don't see running this program as treasonous. It is just extremely irresponsible and devoid of understanding the cultural moment to run this program as some kind of abstract intellectual exercise in the current context.

The framing of this issue as "well what would this look like/mean to you" gives credence to an idea that is offensive to this country at a fundamental level. We're not 'just talking this through'. We're being threatened with annexation. The public broadcaster should respond appropriately.Outrageous.

This government has already floated normalizing inter-basin transfer under the Water Act. This coal-induced demand pressure will present serious issues with invasive species and risks to SARA protected species' environments in other basins, among other environmental harms.
