The framing of this issue as "well what would this look like/mean to you" gives credence to an idea that is offensive to this country at a fundamental level. We're not 'just talking this through'. We're being threatened with annexation. The public broadcaster should respond appropriately.Outrageous.

This government has already floated normalizing inter-basin transfer under the Water Act. This coal-induced demand pressure will present serious issues with invasive species and risks to SARA protected species' environments in other basins, among other environmental harms.

This 'modernization' can not get around the stark environmental reality that SSRB is oversubscribed, and coal development will further harm the ecosystem.
