I completely agree. Since I discovered industrial treadles though, I haven't used a vibrating shuttle in a long time.
My husband and I only sew with treadle machines. The 1905 machine I use is a Singer 31-20. My husband uses a 1934 Singer 1300-1.

My go-to everyday machine is a Singer treadle sewing machine from 1905. 120 years old. No reverse. Straight stitch only.
