On July 14, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) released its annual Point-in-Time Count. While overall homelessness in LA has declined for the second year in a row, the number of families experiencing homelessness continues to climb.
Homelessness is down in the LA region — but not for children and families
The estimated number of unsheltered children and teens under 18 in the county went up this year, and data suggests larger families especially are struggling.
