Still here. Still anti-fascism, pro-choice, anti-racist, pro-coffee, pro-diversity, pro-science, pro-immigration, anti-ignorance and pro-books. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Today they have crossed a deep red line.

We, the people, must hold the president and his appointees accountable for this outrageous abuse against American liberty.

West Coast numbers are coming in, and estimates have now surpassed 5 million. People are still pouring into the streets—nearly 2% of the American population is rising up. America, we are so proud of you. You did it.

Gov. Mills: I’ll comply with the state and federal laws

Trump: We are the federal law. You better do it because you’re not going to get any federal funds.

Dear Governor Kathy Hochul:

It's time.

You have the power to remove Eric Adams from office as NYC mayor.

Take a stand -- and stand up for cleaning up corruption in New York.

REMOVE ADAMS NOW.

Sincerely,
A New Yorker

I’m a part time librarian and I just want to echo what I’ve seen other librarians say recently: there is a HUGE uptick in requests for social justice, climate justice, abolition, history, etc books and I just want to say nobody is giving up the fight. If anything people are fighting harder #library

I’m so tired of living in unprecedented times. I’m so angry that we LITERALLY had the playbook for this and yet let this happen (except Black women, who understood the damn assignment). It’s been 17 days. History tells us we have 53. LFG.

Dorothy B. Porter changed libraries 💜

The Dewey Decimal System used to only have two classifications for Black people: 325 (colonization) & 326 (slavery). Each book by a Black person was put into one of these classifications. A book of poetry? Classified as colonization.

Reading @hcrichardson.bsky.social’s letter usually makes me take a breath - it’s so clear and calm that the panic recedes. Instead, the Feb 2 letter’s clarity starkly shows how quickly everything has gone terribly, horribly wrong. But go on about those eggs.

Tonight’s before bed book was this beautiful one. As a result, I found myself explaining slavery, emancipation, civil rights, good trouble, equity and fairness to my six-year-old. I can’t say it all landed, but we’re starting the convo early and often. Feels extra important right now.
