At least they were all adopted as Cherokee citizens. So while not our original Nation, at least they were not discarded. Then we get to questions about skin color, ethnicity, heart, soul, manifest destiny, all of it! That I have pale, freckled skin, and am accepted by my Nations, since I don't look

Far too many of these stories, affecting far too many human beings. I was fortunate enough to be able to track down all my family information fairly easily, yet there is still a great chasm in my heart over what I don't know. How did my Shawnee GGF make it from Kansas to "IT" and get adopted?
