Federal election week here in Australia. Voted early last week, and the last few months of polling have eased any stress a fair bit.

Fingers crossed that Potato Head Voldemort doesn't get in, which is looking... increasingly unlikely.

Just finished listening to Planet Krynoid. Hell of a spinoff. Sort of Doctor Who answer to disaster movies and zombie apocalypse stories.

As a genre fan, this was a blast. Shearsmith shines, and McGann's a great side character. Really cool use of an iconic monster as well. Recommend this one a lot.

Just finished listening to Hooklight 1 from Big Finish. Absolutely blown away. A big, sprawling fantasy epic. Really cool lore with a story that doesn't let up. And omg that ending... I've not reacted like that for a long while! Tim Foley's written something awesome.

Part 2 cannot come soon enough!

Who up sanctioning some buffoonery right now?

Always had a soft spot for this one (probably the fact I watched the DVD all the time as a kid).

Belated RIP to the GOAT himself, Val Kilmer

Coming onto a couple of days since I watched A Minecraft Movie. My brain's struggling to fully digest what it witnessed. It's cringe. It's pure unfiltered brainrot. It's derivative, predictable crap (despite being a movie that commodifies creativity & originality). But I can't get it out of my head.

Tonight's watch. April 5, 2025, for April 5, 2063.

This is how you make a goddamn Star Trek movie. Always so much fun to watch this one.

A favourite TARDIS team and a wonderfully intriguing trailer. Looking forward to sinking my teeth into this one soon! ❤️

On an old comic binge. Just read issues 1-18 of the original Fantastic Four. Can't tell if I'm just not crazy about the characters or if Lee's dialogue is really that bad.

Was nice to see so many iconic characters pop up so early. Real easy to see how this took off.

Heyo just remembered that this platform exists! And I get to read the lovely news about Le Pen and see nothing but rightful celebration. Always a pleasant scroll.

Two of these in, and I'm not sure I'm digging these old Doctor Who colourisations. War Games made some changes I'm not sure I love. Maybe they're just not for me?
Still, excited for the Christmas special! Can't wait. After all, I don't get up and watch TV at 4am for anything :)

A hopeful, colourful Superman trailer that fills me with nothing but excitement and hope. Like the movie looks revolutionary levels of amazing.

Followed up with an emotionally devastating episode of Creature Commandos, quite possibly the best one yet, too.

Yeah, I'm thinking DC is back.

Star Trek: Lower Decks is just a delightful way to spend my Thursday evenings. Coming to love the show to bits. Really been keeping me going these past few weeks. So sad to see it ending soon.

⭐️THE BIRTH OF STAR TREK

Rare behind-the-scenes photos from 'The Cage' which began filming 60 years ago today!

It would not be broadcast intact until October 15, 1988, though parts were reworked into the 2-part 'The Menagerie' in #StarTrek #TOS' first season.

I think "Empire of Death" may have actually left such a bad taste in my mouth that I struggle to get excited about the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special.

Watching #DoctorWho "The Daleks" (1963/4), and it dawns on me that the whole story could've been avoided if Alydon knew how to talk to people. Or if the Doctor's exploration instincts didn't kick in.
I do love this show and the story's iconic for good reason, but still...

Not sure what this site really is, but I'm here to watch Doctor Who and doomscroll a bit. So far? Infinitely lighter than Twitter, I like.
