The US produces $81 of gross output per hour, but at a particularly high cost for the planet

The EU27 produces $71 of gross output per hour, but with dramatically less carbon emissions

Core EU has 290 million inhabitants: it's a bit smaller than the US (340m) but not much so

The key fact is that productivity in this core EU is essentially the same as in the US:

Ideally, the government should come up with a new executive order to decide upon the calendar of the rerun. The Court demanded that it does so immediately, it has already been 24 hours and there are no signs of the government planning to do it. It is a very dangerous context.

It sets a very dangerous precedent, professor Alemanno. The Constitutional Court is disregarding the most basic principles of law. They had already validated the electoral process on Monday. The ends don't always justify the means.
