I was working an arts conference in 2014, and the speaker for the opening plenary was Lin Manuel Miranda. I was tasked with waiting with him in case he needed anything, and I was so nervous that the only thing I said was “Can I hold your backpack?” (He politely declined and left it on a chair.)
