We're coming to the end of the Fall semester. I'm looking forward to some R & R and my husband's delicious turkey. I'm taking Essay as Cultural Commentary next semester and I can't wait! There is never a lack of subjects on which to comment and I have an opinion or two at the ready 😜

As an American citizen in possession of a uterus, humanist values, and a firm democratic socialist worldview, I feel the pervasive sense of disappointment and loss following the Presidential election. We can't let democracy die. Resist!

The parent company of the satirical publication The Onion announced it has purchased Alex Jones’ Infowars franchise, which was auctioned off this week to help pay the nearly $1.5 billion Jones owes families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.
