They say that empathy can’t be taught so I think it isn’t empathy that we need but things that CAN be taught. The ability to feel someone else’s pain hasn’t done me any good, without acting on it. Humility+Education=Compassion. Let’s call that ‘Active Empathy’. Okay, now it can be taught.
