Did I mention books?

Happily living under a rock with most pop culture, even in books and video games.
I do hope that someday this ai suggestion crap and ai in general falls under your regulatory power.

Ai is dangerous for users. This is a small case of benign worthlessness or deceit but cases of ai psychosis and such show it's a genuine hazard to users.

We finally got rid of Amon Bundy and we got this fucking clown. Bundy pulled shit like this then escalated it and is currently still hiding from the law.

Thank you for doing your job with integrity. I'm glad people are trying.

The result doesn't invalidate the intention.

At some point refusing to act because it won't matter becomes compliance in advance.

The best thing I've learned in my career is don't do your bosses job of holding you down. Make *them* tell you no, don't do it for them.

In this example the 345 meaning ballentine? As the imprint used, or is that random house the holder of the imprint?

Career admiral who would pass unlawful orders failed to represent leadership as required of his position.

Rank is more than privileges it's duty and responsibility. The grunt may be expected to die for the mission. The leadership is expected to suffer career death for the mission.

Stories like this make me want to work in second hand books. A whole wealth of knowledge on how to sort a wealth of knowledge. Skills like rebinding books a whole craft to itself.

Meanwhile my sister (an actual librarian) chides me for not facing my books on my bookshelf more aesthetically.

That's great. Thanks to journalists for pressing on the cause of disseminating the truth to your audience. It's a credit to your profession.

Pardon power should be modified to require an actual statement from the president on the nature of the pardon.

And if the president ever says it was an autopen or he doesn't know about the person it should be revoked and not again pardonable.

Not that it will be fixed but it should be fixed.

Turkey frying is probably the most dangerous cooking technique created in my lifetime.

I just looked it up. When they started the term (119th Congress session January 2025) they changed the rules. Motion to vacate the chair had required 1 person previously.

The change requires 9 reps from the party to make such a motion now.

House debuts new rules including one that makes it harder to boot the speaker
A motion to vacate, the process for removing the speaker, will now require nine sponsors to be considered on the House floor

I visited Uruguay several years ago. If you can handle their dialect of Spanish it's an amazing country. Beautiful, the people were nice, I saw other trans people in passing just living their day to day life.

It's on my list of places to rebuild a life if I really feel like the US is impossible.
November 19, 2025 at 5:45 PM
Like most racists it was never about borders.

He knows he came from outside the US but it's ok because whiteness is really the line they believe in, not the national boundary. When they complain about open borders it's really about permeability of races not national boundaries.

AI is literally the spam restaurant from the spam sketch.

I don't want it, not even a little. Do you have anything that isn't ai? Oh the ai, ai, ai and browser? There's only a little ai in that?

No. NO. No!

Yes to one of those, and I won't specify which.

I'm also pretty confident if someone has skills to machine a receiver they could probably also make a pill press, to dovetail with the pharmaceutical angle.

Is this 30 million calculated the same way ice calculated hundreds of agents in Portland?

Double count this set, triple count that, re-add the count every census. Carry the million...

Maybe some states will lose ground on the child marriages shit. No damnit a 15-16 year old who can't sign a contract should not be able to sign a marriage contract.
November 13, 2025 at 9:10 PM
I think the result of this is going to be folks moving in to the a crime against a 16 year old is exactly as disgusting as a crime against a 5 year old.

I'm fine with them moving the wrong goal post. They want us to be less disgusted because the *kids* were teenage *kids*. Still CSA.

But in math you're allowed the asterisk, "2=2 is true*".

*In the natural number space or any space that contains the identity axiom that 1=1.
November 13, 2025 at 7:56 PM
that formula led to a contradiction that can only be solved by determining the formulation is correct (math is right), that it truly contradicts (no logical errors), and lastly what part of those axioms failed and is there another space that this does fit into. Yes math is falsifiable too!
November 13, 2025 at 7:56 PM
So when you say if this equation fails the space it's in didn't fail, this was outside that space and mistakenly believed to be in it. Fortunately this doesn't happen often but it is why math has several spaces already.

So! If an equation falls out of its space, how?
New evidence! A new use of
November 13, 2025 at 7:56 PM
So yes there can be ideas referred to as laws in sciences but even those rest on underlying principles. Those principles are based on math within this space (real numbers, complex, rationals etc).

And contradiction alert, if the law is broken then the equation just isn't in *that* number space.
November 13, 2025 at 7:56 PM
Sometimes you might see something like the laws of thermodynamics.

It's either a misstatement or comes from mathematical conclusions.

An equation is true if the underlying math is true. 1=1 for example is the identity property of real numbers. Our understanding of math falls apart without it.
