One of these days we're gonna have to reckon with the fact that "money that I spend which does not directly benefit me is a waste" is a popular sentiment.

I think we should state plainly that this is selfish on its face.

And stupid when you have awareness which extends beyond your nose.

When you solve for the wrong problem, not only do you not get the solution, you can cause harm. The President wasted water that was being saved for farmers for a PR stunt.

The path to avoiding the worst of climate change runs through state senates and city councils, public utilities commissions and planning bodies, co-op boards and HOAs and PTAs and neighborhood associations. Remember the physics definition of power: it’s work over time.
