I couldn't resist the allure of adding new glass to my kit, and decided to get me an RF28-70mm F2.8 IS STM lens.

I plan to make heavy use of it at various conventions next year.

I started reading Age of Apocalypse for the first time, and already I find myself wishing newer comics made heavier use of narration boxes the same way older comics did. These descriptive details always made moments like this more epic, gave us more lore, and generally just more story to read.

My haul from this year's #eastcoastcomicexpo
Some are titles that I needed in order to finish a collection or to fill out the arcs of random issues I owned as a kid, while others like Tomb of Dracula just caught my interest (I've been meaning to dabble in some horror comics)

Hot hot hot!

ExNihina's Creature Art streams are always a fun and entertaining time as they take wild and random prompts from the chat and still manages to turn out something awesome in short order.

So Architects have released "The Sky, The Earth & All Between" Album this weekend. It definitely has some bangers on it, but I can't tell how many yet because I've got Landmines on repeat and I'm not ready to move on from it.

On this night 10 years ago I DM'd my first D&D campaign (The Lost Mines of Phandelver Starter Set). It was such a great little adventure, I'd love to do it again sometime (maybe to test the updated rules)

I rarely buy single issue #comicbooks (no longer living near a store so I do TPBs) and I've never bought a slabbed one before, but when I heard Marvel was bringing NYX back and saw this sweet cover of Laura from Jeehyung Lee, I just had to have it

I'm starting Oct with perhaps my favorite #horrorfilm, Night of the Living Dead (1990). IMO this film took the formula of the original and improved it in every single way. The zombies are far more horrific & terrifying, Barbara kicks ass, and I love the change made to the ending with Ben and Harry.

🎃 Darkness falls across the land...

I start every October with Thriller, which contains some of my favorite #horror aesthetics to this day. The zombie sequence in particular scared me enough a kid to haunt me for a few years, so kudos to the art department (Rick Baker / etc) for nailing the vibe.

This week's list of Horror Movies has been the Friday the 13th series (of course).
I started the series a little early so that I could get to Part 6: Jason Lives by today as the undead revenant Jason Voorhees has always been my favorite incarnation of the character & my go-to mental image of him.

Tonight's horror movie was Night of the Living Dead (1968), which is a yearly watch for me (well the 1990 version is, I'll still save that one for October). I decided to bump this version up early this year as I just finished the novel and wanted to view it while it was still fresh on my mind.
