Made a DIY soldering fume extractor, a bit of a hack but works great.

I replaced sticks in four joycons with stickdrift this evening, quite easy to do but it requires a steady hand and good eyesight, I don’t have any of that anymore 🤪

Added a PicoMem-card to my Amstrad PC1640, and it worked perfectly. This is a perfect replacement for the faulty harddrive in the machine. Now i only need to find an original Amstrad mouse for the system.

Spent some time fixing up this old Scantic (Luxor) stereo system. The usual maintainence, new belt for the turntable, some new lightbulbs and a lot of contact cleaning spray in the switches and pots. I also had to replace two of the speaker elements since they were long gone.

Found some vinyls at a second hand store that usually only has junk, you can argue if this is quality records but I have some great memories associated with them.

I’ve started to pick up small flat screens when I find them on second hand stores, this one also have all the nice inputs for retro. Right now the prices for these screens are quite inexpensive but I guess they will be more and more uncommon as time goes by. This one cost me 5€

Greaseweazle is truly a fantastic piece of hardware. I just managed to write original floppy’s for my Amstrad pc1640 so now I can access bios and also explore GEM that was included with the machine

Added a new toy to my workbench, haven’t used one since school almost 30 years ago. Hopefully it will help me fix the mountain of half working stuff I have laying around 😃

After many years away from the living room the turntable made it back. Nice to be able to listen to music as it is supposed to be listened.

Found two storage cases containing floppys at a second hand store that probably came together with a magazine in the 80:s, payed about 7 euros for the lot. Now I need to get my old amstrad pc1640 running to check them out.
