EXE + CU + TOR = EXECUTOR as the answer.

4. ‘turret discovered’ is to remove the covers (dis-cover) - remove the first & the last letters of ‘turret’ to get ‘urre’.

5. Now put this ‘urre’ - ‘in Dresden exploded’.

‘exploded’ is an anagram indicator, so move around the letters of ‘Dresden’ & add ‘urre’ to get the answer :
