It’s also been my pfp too because the drawing of myself is in profile, not frontal so people can’t “tell” especially since the colors I use (as my branding) is purple and with my skin tone beside it I guess they think whatever. However, I think it’s actually true to what I look like but more red.

Yeah. I think I'm just irritated by it because I'm not doing ot for some representation cookies, I'm doing it because I want to and I am who I am and that kinda gets ignored in the process.
I definitely hold back my irritation for my own peace. So it's less about my patience honestly 😅

No it's okay! I just know some people need clarification for "from" vs "living" because you can be "from" somewhere and not currently "live" there. Especially with how people in Philly get pushed out because of gentrification and raising housing prices, etc.

It usually comes from young yt followers who are trying to be supportive. It's different if you say something like "I love how you draw woman of color" because I understand some people don't and refuse to and it is an issue of the lack of rep. BUT because I am a WOC why wouldn't I "include" myself?

I'm from Philly (born/raised went to school and all) but I don't live there rn (close still in a way). But most of my community and people are in and from Philly too so I'm still around.😅

I think that should be the expectation not just some mission to represent women of color. That should be the standard...it is my standard.
