update 3: got the panels off fully finally after a lot of time with the hair dryer melting ice. it's all melted!!! no more ice blockage!! all assembled again, now waiting for it to chill up again to put food back in it

update 2: I FIGURED OUT THE PROBLEM AND GOT TO IT I'M A FUCKING GENIUS
ice clogged the hell out of the ventilation between the fridge and freezer. need to chip out that ice and let it thaw. ugh.
