They did it with entire schools too in Prince Edward County, Virginia. After losing Brown v. BoE, they were so angry about being forced to integrate that they closed down the entire public school system for five years. Imagine the damage that does to a population, all born out of deep rooted hatred.

As a woman with BD, I will agree that it's definitely an example of logic taking a backseat to emotion. Does it make sense? No, not really. Does it speak to real emotions? Absolutely. I think on some level it qualifies as a form of surrealist art and it still means a lot to me personally.
