Owusu is pretty easily one of the most electric artists to break out this decade

Supreme Clientele is definitely the more flashy album of the two and is a more outward assertion of Ghostface's confidence, but Ironman has a sense of hunger to it that really makes it go. I'll go with Ironman because I gravitate to that concentrated energy more than the effortless coolness of SC.

Honestly, Smino is just heading in a more interesting direction at this point. I'll go with Smino

For me personally, I would go with Chromakopia. I think IGOR is the more sweeping artistic statement and I also think it's more focused on a track-to-track basis, but I have personally gotten more listens out of Chromakopia. I also think Chromakopia expands on some of IGOR's ideas really well.

Megan. Way, way, way more technically proficient as a rapper than she gets credit for.

Two extremely important groups in their own right, but I have to go with Geto Boys. The extreme Scarface bias in me would not let me pick UGK.

I'm not even a big Zel fan, but there is so much forgettable material in IDK's catalog that Zel takes it easily

As underappreciated as Little Brother is, it's pretty easily Tribe here

Keem's potential is still through the roof. I'll go Don T for now because he's currently the more refined and focused artist, but I think Keem will surpass him when it's all said and done.

Both bangers but Creep perfectly encapsulates why TLC was such an infectious group

Noname for now but it's subject to change. Noname's pen game is better but Doechii's track presence is more dynamic.

Sean but this might be the closest one I've ever answered

This is difficult. This is maybe the first one of these I've seen where two equally important figures are competing against each other. I will have to go with Nate Dogg because I've personally gotten more out of his contributions, but it's close.

808s & Heartbreak is the most significant Kanye album when you consider how it shaped the music industry at large going forward. Having said that, I do think Man on the Moon is the slightly better album.
808s & Heartbreak or Man on the Moon: The End of the Day?

Earl's angst is presented in a much more engaging way than Tyler's when comparing these projects. EARL is the more interesting project instrumentally too. I also think Earl has always been the superior rapper, although Tyler might be the slightly more eccentric artist. I go with EARL.

Che Noir has the better pen game. I go Che Noir here

Rome is the better technician of the two and the last few years have kept me more interested in Rome than in Boldy. I'll give it to Rome.
September 9, 2025 at 4:08 AM
Not really a fan of either, but I'll give it to Doja because I think she's fresher stylistically.

Lupe. Far more sonically influential, better storyteller, better catalog, and better bar-for-bar

Young Thug is just falling apart, man. Also yes, those comments were very disgusting.

Gravediggaz. Onyx is definitely a super important group in their own right. They were maybe the most animated hip hop act of their time and their music was extremely confrontational to the pushback certain demographics gave hip hop. Having said that, they have nothing as good as 6 Feet Deep.

I know what my pfp is, but I still go Viktor

Politics as Usual
Without saying Dirt Off Your Shoulder, fav Jay-Z Song?

I maintain that if you are shocked at the path Andre has gone down in his career, you never really understood him to begin with. He was always an eccentric figure and always the type who could easily be dissuaded by the industry at large. It's really no surprise that he ditched rapping for the flute
